国内各地で豪雨が続く中、Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality of Tanahun district で、1ヶ月間に900例を超える大規模なデング熱アウトブレイク a massive dengue outbreak, with over 900 positive cases in a single ward within a month が報告されている。ward 3 の900人以上がデング熱検査で陽性と確認された。現在45人の患者が、わずか15床の Anbukhaireni Hospital で治療を受けている。
国内74 districts に感染が拡大しているデングウイルスについて、3775例の検査陽性患者と2例の死亡が確認されている。
2022年は合計88人が死亡し、5万4千人以上が感染した。

2024年のこれまでキューバではオロプーシェ熱アウトブレイク an outbreak of Oropouche fever が続いているが、今回、西隣の米国でもキューバへの旅行者の感染が報告されている。
フロリダ州保健当局 The Florida Department of Health (FDH) が11例 Oropouche fever cases を報告しており、2024年に発症したこれらの患者は発症前の2週間にキューバを旅行していた。
The Oropouche reported cases were found in the following Florida counties: Hillsborough (4), Lee (2), Miami-Dade (1), Orange (2), and Polk (2).
Throughout 2024, more than 8000 Oropouche cases, including 2 deaths and 5 cases of vertical transmission, were reported by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)。
the CDC によると、感染した患者の approximately 60% of people infected with the Oropouche virus に症状が現れるとされている。通常、潜伏期間は3-10日間である。
ウイルス感染のある biting midges or mosquitoes に曝露したヒトでもっとも感染リスクが高くなるが、重症化リスクはよくわかっていない。
As of 19 Aug 2024, no approved Oropouche vaccines are available.

New outbreak of trichinellosis confirmed and cases rise to 62 in the province
ブエノスアイレス保健省 The Buenos Aires Ministry of Health が新たな疫学報告 a new epidemiological bulletin の中で、旋毛虫症アウトブレイク a new outbreak of trichinellosis について報告し、2024年の the province of Buenos Aires の cases of the disease が62例に達していると明らかにした。
"a total of 157 suspected cases of trichinosis were reported: 61 confirmed, 3 probable and 91 still under study" であり、 5 outbreaks が発生したと述べられている。前回の報告では、4 outbreaks and 52 confirmed infections とされていた。
The 5th outbreak of trichinellinosis は、the districts of Florencio Varela and Quilmes, in the south of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area の家庭内で発生したものである。4人が無症候性であったと報告されている。
The other 4 outbreaks occurred in the districts of Leandro N. Alem, General Pueyrredon, Necochea and Guaminí. All of these were "linked to the consumption of home-made products."

ベトナム南部では、2023年初以降に199例のエムポックス cases of mpox, formerly known as monkeypox が報告され、8人が死亡した。患者の多くがホーチミン市 Ho Chi Minh City で確認されていると、市保健当局が明らかにした。このうち150例が2023年に報告されている。8例の死亡例はすべて2024年に報告されたとのパスツール研究所 the Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute のデータが示されている。
患者はすべて18歳から53歳までの男性で、84% が the men who have sex with men (MSM) community である。エムポックスと診断された患者の55%が HIV-positive であり、7%が HIV 曝露前予防 pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention を服用していた。
市内ではアフリカに常在する The mpox virus clade IIb が確認されているが、新たな the newer clade Ib variant, recently identified by the World Health Organization (WHO) は今のところ確認されていない。

患者は海外渡航歴のない33歳のフィリピン人男性であると、保健当局 the Department of Health (DOH) が述べ、"We are awaiting sequencing results and will update once available" と説明されている。
今回のフィリピンの新たな感染例は、2022年7月の第1例目確認以降、10例目の国内確定診断例 the 10th laboratory-confirmed case である。
