アッサム Assam 州において過去数か月にわたって日本脳炎の増加 a surge in Japanese encephalitis (JE) cases がみられると2日当局者が述べた。4月1日以降，the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) 医大病院では，同ウイルスに感染した 90 patients が受診し，うち22人が死亡した。2023年の同院の入院患者は合計54人であった。一旦私立病院に入院した後に搬送された患者らは，到着時にすでに深刻な状態にまで悪化していたと説明されている。

Svay Rieng province の4歳男児の新たな鳥インフルエンザ感染 another case of bird flu が確認され，The Ministry of Health から the H5N1 bird flu virus への注意が呼びかけられている。1日，the National Institute of Public Health and the Institute Pasteur of Cambodia の検査で患児の H5N1 bird flu virus 陽性が確認されたと保健省が発表した。この男児は Chrung Porpel village, Meram commune in Romeas Hek district of Svay Rieng province に在住している発熱，咳嗽，息切れ，意識低下の症状がみられ，状態は改善し集中治療を受けている。自宅で発病した12日前に，食用に購入された多数の死亡したニワトリとの接触があった。

On 9 Jul 2024 a yearling Quarter Horse gelding in Madison County, Florida, tested positive for Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE). The horse, who was unvaccinated, developed clinical signs on 29 Jun 2024, including depression, muscle twitching, incoordination, and head pressing. He is now deceased.
