Pune においてジカウイルス感染例 The number of Zika patients が連日発生し，52例に達した。これまでに4例の感染例の死亡が発生したが，死亡原因については調査が行われている。
The highest number of Zika patients in Pune, 11, has been found in the Erandwande Ward Office area. Following that, 10 patients have been identified in the Dahunkar Colony Ward Office area. Other areas with reported cases include: Kahradi (6), Pashan (5), Mundwa (4), Suksagar Nagar (4), Ambegaon Budruk (3), Ghole Road (3), Kalas (2), Dahankawadi (1), Lohgaon (1), Dhole-Patil Road (1) and Wanowrie (1). On Thursday [1 August 2024], 3 new patients were reported in the city: 1 from Gujarat Colony in Korthrud, 1 from Shivajl in Kaharadi, and 1 from Mangalwadi on Senapati Bapat Road.

The food business operations of Yun Hai Yao at Northpoint City and Pu Tien Services at Senoko South Road have been suspended until further notice, the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Singapore Food Agency (SFA) said.

DC Hospital Gets a Wake-Up Call to Chagas Disease

左室駆出率 a left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) が50%以下の患者についてみると，血清陽性率 The seroprevalence of Chagas disease は25%に達する。右脚ブロック right bundle branch block の患者の the seroprevalence は as high as 31.6% であったと，a research letter in JACC: Heart Failure で報告した。
しかしながら患者の 91.7% は，常在国からの移民であるにもかかわらず Chagas disease について聞いたことがなかった。
Chagas disease, also known as American trypanosomiasis はトリパノソーマの感染 _T. cruzi_ infection が原因で，ラテンアメリカ全体に常在する endemic in all continental Latin American countries 。 治療されないままであれば，慢性感染例の一部は心不全，心室性不整脈，伝導障害，心筋梗塞などの心臓合併症を発症する。The CDC は 20% to 30% of people with chronic _T. cruzi_ infection が心臓疾患を発症すると推定している。感染は通常，小児期早期 early childhood に発生する。
