Wyoming identifies first human case of avian influenza
ワイオミング州保健当局 The Wyoming Department of Health が、州内ではじめてのヒトの鳥インフルエンザ its first human case of H5N1 bird flu in the region を確認し、米国内で3例目の入院患者 the third confirmed instance of hospitalization related to the infection in the USA となったと報じられている。
"患者の女性は他の州で入院しており、より感染しやすい持病があり、自宅で感染した家きんとの直接の接触によりウイルスに曝露したとみられている" と州保健当局者 Wyoming's state health officer が述べた。
2024年4月以降、米国でおよそ70人が鳥インフルエンザに感染し、死亡例が1例発生している。患者の大部分が感染のある家きんまたはウシに曝露した農業従事者である。
Earlier in the day, the US Department of Agriculture gave a conditional approval to animal healthcare company Zoetis to use its bird flu vaccine in poultry（家きんに対する鳥インフルエンザワクチン接種を承認）。
