Where are measles spreading currently?
The West Texas cases are concentrated in Gaines County, which has 45 infections. Terry County to the north has 9 confirmed cases, while Lubbock and Lynn counties have a case each and Yoakum County has 2. The Texas Department of State Health Services said Monday [17 Feb 2025] that 13 people are hospitalized with measles.
State health officials say this outbreak is Texas' largest in nearly 30 years.

48歳女性に発熱と悪寒戦慄が続き、皮膚には壊死性出血性発疹 necrotic hemorrhagic rashes が現れ、24時間以内に死に至ることのある髄膜炎菌 meningococcal bacteria が確認された。2月16日、熱帯病センター長 Director of the Center for Tropical Diseases, Bach Mai Hospital が、髄膜炎 meningitis - 急性髄膜炎菌性敗血症 acute meningococcal sepsis と説明した。
ホーチミン市 Ho Chi Minh City 在住のこの患者は、1月27日に Ha Nam までバス旅行を行った。
2月7日に悪寒戦慄と発熱が続くようになり、次第に症状が悪化した。その晩、頭痛、嘔気、嘔吐、疲労感、意識低下、認知遅延 slow cognition が現れた。the hospital in Ha Nam でレントゲン検査を受けた後、Bach Mai Hospital に転院した。
上記症状と、脳脊髄穿刺液が a cloudy yellow substance であったことから、髄膜炎菌性髄膜炎 meningitis caused by meningococcal bacteria が疑われ、隔離室で抗生物質による治療が開始された。髄液と血液の培養検査はともに B群髄膜炎菌陽性 both positive for type B meningococcal bacteria と確認された。
On 10 Feb 2025, a 23-year-old soldier working in Military Region 1 was confirmed dead from acute meningococcal septic shock.

The province of Santa Fe is considered an endemic region for contracting the infection.

発症日は2月9日夕刻で、一部の患者が入院し、3人が死亡した。4人目の死亡については食中毒が原因ではないと判断された。
