Measles cases on the rise: protect yourself and your family
2024年は世界的に、2023年と比較して麻疹の急増 a sharp increase in measles cases globally compared to 2023 がみられ、カナダにおいても2025年初の2か月間に、2024年の年間報告数を超える麻疹感染がアウトブレイク outbreaks in New Brunswick, Ontario, Québec and Manitoba と関連して報告された。
2025年3月6日現在、国内で227例 measles cases in 2025 が報告されており、多数の入院が必要となった。患者の大部分が、ワクチン未接種もしくは接種年齢未満の小児のコミュニティ内での感染 exposed in their communities, such as in social events, daycares, schools and healthcare settings によるものである。

A total of 26 new dengue cases were reported in the 24 hours leading up to Sunday morning [9 Mar 2025], bringing the total number of cases to 1624 this year [2025].
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), new cases were reported as follows: 10 in Barishal Division (Out of CC), 3 in Chattogram Division (Out of CC), 1 in Dhaka Division (Out of CC), 1 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 6 in Dhaka South City Corporation, and 5 in Khulna Division (Out of CC).
The number of deaths remained at 13, with no new fatalities reported during this period, the DGHS added.

鶏の刺し身や焼いたセセリ食べ10人が食中毒 神戸の飲食店 カンピロバクター検出
神戸市は９日、同市中央区古湊通１の飲食店「鶏匠 吟八」で食事をした２０～５０代の男女１０人が下痢や腹痛、発熱などの症状を訴えたと発表した。市は食中毒と断定し、同店に対して１１日まで営業停止を命じた。
市によると、１０人は大阪府や兵庫県内に住んでいる会社の同僚で、２月２８日夜に来店し、鶏肉の刺し身をはじめ焼いたセセリやハラミを食べた。３月１～５日にかけて症状を訴え、うち４人から食中毒菌「カンピロバクター」が検出された。
１０人はいずれも軽症で、すでに快方に向かっているという。

Screwworm is a disease caused by the larvae of the fly _Cochliomyia hominivorax_ (Coquerel) that lays its eggs in any open wound of a warm-blooded animal, including humans.

In 2024 in Trentino, for example, approximately 20% of leaf samples tested positive for the fungal complex that causes both diseases.

Studies have been started to understand the biology of the pathogens so that effective defense strategies can be developed. _Colletotrichum chrysophilum_ has been identified as the main pathogen of both diseases in South Tyrol.
