Gadimai Municipality-16, Bara District (Province Two) の 35歳女性が 2日，頭痛，関節痛，筋肉痛，眼窩後部痛等を伴い 9日間続いた急性の発熱で Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital を受診した。現地では腸チフスと診断され治療を受けていたが改善が見られなかった。結膜の充血と，トランスアミナーゼの上昇？ transaminitis ，血小板減少が確認された。渡航歴はなかった。レプトスピラ，デング，ブルセラ，マラリアの血清検査は陰性で，血液培養でも発育が認められなかった。抗ツツガムシ IgM 抗体が陽性となり，ドキシサイクリン doxycycline による治療により解熱した。2017年のネパールで初めての症例と考える。2015年の地震以降，国内の症例が増加している。おそらく診断が可能となったことと，げっ歯類のいる一時テントの滞在者がいることが理由の 1つと考えられる。

Gadimai Municipality-16, Bara District (Province Two) の 35歳女性が 2日，頭痛，関節痛，筋肉痛，眼窩後部痛等を伴い 9日間続いた急性の発熱で Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital を受診した。現地では腸チフスと診断され治療を受けていたが改善が見られなかった。結膜の充血と，トランスアミナーゼの上昇？ transaminitis ，血小板減少が確認された。渡航歴はなかった。レプトスピラ，デング，ブルセラ，マラリアの血清検査は陰性で，血液培養でも発育が認められなかった。抗ツツガムシ IgM 抗体が陽性となり，ドキシサイクリン doxycycline による治療により解熱した。2017年のネパールで初めての症例と考える。2015年の地震以降，国内の症例が増加している。おそらく診断が可能となったことと，げっ歯類のいる一時テントの滞在者がいることが理由の 1つと考えられる。
