... 5月31日現在，305例の 16歳以下の小児の原因不明の急性肝炎症例が ECDC and the WHO Regional Office に報告されている。
17 countries (Austria (2), Belgium (14), Bulgaria (1), Cyprus (2), Denmark (7), Greece (5), Ireland (8), Italy (29), the Netherlands (14), Norway (5), Poland (3), Portugal (15), Republic of Moldova (1), Serbia (1), Spain (34), Sweden (9), and the UK (155)).
5月20日の報告以後，新たに 8か国（ベルギー，ブルガリア，フィ離社，イタリア，ポーランド，ポルトガル，スペイン，英国）から 29例が報告された。2021年第 51週以降，報告数が持続的に増加し，2022年第 12，13週に最大の増加が見られている ... 患者の大部分（76.1%）が 5歳以下の症例で，転帰の情報のある 180例のうち，148例が回復し 31例が治療中である。情報が得られた 169例のうち，23例（13.6%）に ICU 入院があった。14例に肝移植が行われ，1例の死亡が報告されている。199例にアデノウイルス検査が行われ，118例（59.3%）が検査陽性となっている。Of the 204 cases PCR tested for SARS-CoV-2，24 (11.8%) tested positive.
