カナダ国内の複数の医療施設において， SARS-CoV-2 感染と診断された1440人の小児についての研究で，アルファ変異株感染例はもっとも症状が少なく reported the fewest core COVID-19 symptoms，オミクロン株感染では他の変異株に比べて，発熱，下気道および全身症状がより多く報告された。入院および集中治療の割合は，変異株間で差がなかった comparable across variants。

To the editor: 最近までオーストラリアにおけるジフテリア国内感染例 locally acquired tox gene-carrying diphtheria はまれであった。the diphtheria toxoid vaccine ワクチン接種により Toxigenic diphtheria は，オーストラリア国内でほぼ姿を消していた ... 感染感受性のある移民を中心に，世界的にジフテリア感染アウトブレイクの報告が増加している。オーストラリアでは between 1999 and 2019 に46例の感染 diphtheria cases (8 respiratory diphtheria and 38 cutaneous) が確認され，87％が _C. diphtheriae_ 感染で占められている。2020年以降，a genomically linked clone of tox gene carrying diphtheria bacteria がノースクイーンズランド州全域 across North Queensland に拡大している。the Queensland Health's Notifiable Conditions Register の症例について報告する。
