Abstract
During the 2022 global outbreak において，95% of mpox cases は身体的濃厚接触による感染で，98% が男性だった。
今回，発症前の2か月間に M 痘が疑われる症例との性交渉やの身体的濃厚接触のない，若年女性の症例において，M 痘の感染が確認された a confirmed monkeypox virus infection ので報告する。女性は20代後半の米国人女性で，7年前に受けた甲状腺がん medullary thyroid cancer に対する甲状腺摘出術のあと，甲状腺機能低下症 hypothyroidism の持病があった。2022年7月に8日前からの顔面の発疹 a facial rash のため病院救急室を受診した。はじめは痒疹 initially pruritic であったが，両側下眼瞼，頬部，下口唇粘膜，顎部の紅斑 erythematous macules は水疱から膿疱に変化した。doxycycline and valacyclovir が処方された。熱感，筋肉痛，頚部リンパ節腫脹，四肢に播種した丘疹が現れたため，再度受診した。HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, _Chlamydia_ sp., herpes simplex virus, and varicella zoster virus の検査はいずれも陰性だった。PCR for orthopoxvirus が陽性となり，a cycle threshold of 21.2 であった。tecovirimat が処方され，48時間以内に顔面とリンパ節の腫脹が改善し，以後新たな病変の出現はなかった ...
