この2ヶ月間に米国内で、4 in Florida and one in Texas の少なくとも5人がマラリアに感染したと、the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention の a health advisory on Monday [26 Jun 2023] で明らかにされた。国内でのマラリア感染の確認は2003年以来。新たな感染例は三日熱マラリア _Plasmodium vivax_ 感染によるもので、他のマラリア原虫に比べ重症化する可能性は低い。5人は全員治療を受け回復している。

依然として米国での感染リスクはきわめて低いとしている。

サルモネラ感染症とみられるアウトブレイク an apparent outbreak of salmonellosis for over a week に、郡内の All 3 jails in Solano County が影響を受けていると、27日当局者が述べた。先週末 [24-25 Jun 2023] に発生したアウトブレイクによりおよそ15人が発病し、頭痛、身体痛、嘔吐、下痢の症状がみられている。

The Solano County Sheriff's Office operates 3 jails in the county: the Stanton Correctional Facility, a 365-bed maximum security facility, the Solano County Justice Center Detention Facility, the county's 740-bed main jail, and the Claybank Detention Facility, which has a capacity of about 400 beds.

With reference to the announcement [communiqué III) of 26 Jun 2023 [see ProMED post 20230627.8710802], the Chief Veterinary Officer would like to inform that the State Veterinary Institute in Puławy has received, until today [28 Jun 2023] by 3:00 p.m., a total of 33 samples from cats from Gdańsk, Gdynia, Poznań, Lublin, Pruszcz Gdański, Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, Bydgoszcz, Wrocław, and the vicinity of Zamość. Positive results were obtained in 15 of the 19 samples already tested. All positive results indicate that the genetic material of the H5N1 influenza virus [is confirmed in samples] from Gdańsk, Gdynia, Pruszcz Gdański, Lublin, Bydgoszcz, and Poznań.
