赤痢アウトブレイク An outbreak of shigellosis に、ロサンゼルスのホテルで開催された会議 a union delegate conference at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel venue in downtown Los Angeles, 21-24 Aug 2023 が関係するとみられている。郡公衆衛生当局等 Alameda County Public Health Department, in coordination with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) が調査を行っている。会議にはカリフォルニア州 across California から300人以上が参加した。8月31日の時点で当局 CDPH は、参加者らの間で6例の赤痢感染 shigellosis cases from 4 California local health jurisdictions を報告し、この中に Alameda County residents も含まれている。6例のうち3例については検査陽性 PCR positive for _Shigella_ が確認され; 培養と型判定 subtyping の結果が待たれている。発症日は8月25日で、2人が入院した。9月1日までに Alameda County から3 shigellosis cases が報告されており、いずれもこの会議に出席している。

9月7日までの時点で、10日間健康観察された5人の接触者の中の発症者、および通常のサーベイランスにおける新たな感染、は確認されておらず、したがってヒト-ヒト感染の証拠はなく、a sporadic human case of influenza A(H1N1)v と考えられる。市中感染もしくは国際間の感染伝搬の可能性は低い。
Description of the case
患者は the province of North Brabant の成人1名で、持病および職業上の動物との接触歴は報告されていない。8月20日に倦怠感 fatigue and general malaise を感じ始め、翌日には悪寒、くしゃみ、咳嗽、頭痛、衰弱などの急性呼吸器感染症を発症し、翌22日に発熱があった。
8月21日、患者自身が as part of participatory surveillance [1] of acute respiratory infections に従って症状を報告し、自己採取した鼻とのどのスワブ検体を検査機関に提出した。22日に the Dutch National Influenza Centre location at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) のインフルエンザAウイルス influenza A virus 検査は陽性、A(H1N1)pdm09 は陰性と判定された。
