2023年9月，the GeoSentinel Surveillance Network が，最近の4週間のコモロ滞在歴のある女性のジカウイルス感染 a confirmed case of Zika virus disease in a woman who had recently spent 4 weeks in Comoros. Although her について報告した。Zika virus RT-PCR 検査は陽性だったが，フランスで複数回の検査を行った the National Reference Laboratory for arboviral diseases in France carried out several iterations of its own RT-PCR from the whole blood sample of 13 Sep 2023. ところ，いずれの検査も陰性だった。
現在もこの女性は症状（頭痛，気力低下，膝中心の関節痛，嚥下障害）が続いており，主治医は10月11日まで主なアルボウイルス疾患（デング，チクングニア，ジカ）の検査を繰り返し行ったが以前同様，抗デングIgG抗体だけが陽性であった。同時に行われた免疫学的精査で自己免疫異常が症状の原因として示唆されている...
Unfortunately, it looks like the initial Zika virus PCR was a false positive so Comoros remains a location without confirmed Zika virus.
