フランス国内で、生ミルクから製造されたチーズが、半ダースの重症大腸菌感染 half a dozen serious _E. coli_ infections に関係している。合計6 cases of hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS、溶血性尿毒症症候群) が報告されている。2023年11月に重症の下痢症のため、the Minimes crèche in Toulouse の幼児らが入院した。

The 1st case [see comment below as this is actually the 2nd reported case - Mod.JH] of Kyasanur Forest disease (KFD、キャサヌール森林病) was detected at Attisara village in Tirthahalli taluk [located in the Shimoga district of the state of Karnataka, India] last Thursday [14 Dec 2023].
地域保健当局者 District Health and Family Welfare Officer は、患者は53歳女性と説明した。12月10日から発熱があり、4日後になっても解熱しないため行われた検査の結果陽性 positive for KFD となった。JC Hospital in Tirthahalli 病院に搬送された。
KFD はダニが媒介するウイルス出血熱 a tick-borne viral haemorrhagic fever で、インド南西部に常在する endemic 。KFDV、フラビウイルス the family Flaviviridae を保有宿主 a reservoir であるダニの刺咬 the bite of infected hard ticks (_Haemaphysalis spinigera_) により伝播される。感染した女性は2021年にワクチンを接種していた。
