Epidemiological situation of Zika virus
There have been new reports of Zika virus in the ECOWAS region (in Senegal and Mali in particular) since our last report in week 41.
1. セネガル Senegal: 12月7日にパスツール研究所 the Institut Pasteur Dakar がセネガル保健当局 the Senegalese health authorities に対し，2件の陽性結果 positive PCRs for the Zika virus について通報した。
The 1st case は the district of Sokone (Fatick region, bordering northern Gambia) の年齢不詳の女性1名で，11月13日に発熱，頭痛，眼窩後部痛を発症し，同14日に医療機関を受診した。
The 2nd case, reported in Sédhiou region (frontier with northern Guinea-Bissau) は18歳女性で，11月27日に発熱，頭痛，筋肉痛を発症した。
2人の患者はともに治療を受け生存している。
2. マリ Mali: 12月1日，the 1st 3 confirmed cases of Zika virus が報告されたのに続き，同4日に新たに9例の確定診断例が報告された。この12例はすべて，Bamako District and Koulikoro Region の患者で，うち2例はデング熱との重複感染例であった。
University Clinical Research Centre (UCRC) of Bamako used the Trioplex RT-PCR method known for identifying dengue, chikungunya, and Zika investigation; these test samples were from Point-G hospital in Bamako.
年初から the ECOWAS region 地域内で確定診断されたジカウイルス感染症例は15例で、死亡例は発生していない。
