カンボジアで新たに2例のエムポックス more cases of mpox, [formerly] known as monkeypox が確認され，これまでの感染例は合計14例になったと，21日の保健省 a Ministry of Health's statement で明らかになった。いずれの患者も現在入院治療中である。
"Since December 2023 to date, 合計14 people がエムポックス検査で陽性 positive for mpox と確認されており、すべて20-39歳の男性である。" とし、ほとんど almost all of them が首都 the capital Phnom Penh 在住もしくは勤務者である。

Throughout 2024, Nigeria's Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) confirmed 682 cases and 128 deaths, which is a Lassa fever case fatality rate（致死率）of 18.8%, far exceeding the rate recorded in 2023.
62% of confirmed cases originating from Ondo, Edo, and Bauchi states と報告されている。
2023年のアウトブレイクでは，医療従事者の感染と死亡も発生していると説明されている。
2024年3月現在，米国の食品医薬品局 the US Food and Drug Administration および欧州医薬品局 the European Medicines Agency はラッサ熱ワクチン a Lassa fever virus vaccine candidate を承認していないが，4種類の候補ワクチン vaccine candidates (INO-4500, MV-LASV, rVSV∆G-LASV-GPC, and EBS-LASV) が臨床試験段階 the clinical stage にある。

北部 northern provinces such as Lao Cai and Yen Bai で水痘流行 the chickenpox [varicella] epidemic が拡がる中，数百人の感染と1人の死亡が発生している。Yen Bai Province in the northern region では複数の学校における流行発生が報告されている。A third-grade student at Tan Thinh Primary and Secondary School in Yen Bai City -- the 1st case -- was discovered with mild fever and blisters appearing on the abdomen and back. 同校で3月18日の時点で11人の感染が確認されている。
From 4 Mar 2024 until now [20 Mar 2024], some districts such as Yen Binh, Luc Yen, Tran Yen, Van Chan, Mu Cang Chai and Yen Bai City and Nghia Lo Town in Yen Bai Province have recorded 140 cases of chickenpox

Health authorities on alert as anthrax infects 14 in southern Laos
南部 2 districts in southern Champassak province で1ダースを超える人々の炭疽 anthrax が報告され，当局が動物の取り扱いを制限している。3月12日に地域保健当局が，the carcasses of 97 cows, buffaloes and goats の炭疽感染が確認されたと明らかにした。

Tiger mosquitoes now everywhere in France after spreading to Normandy
