国内8か所で3日間のデング熱感染対策プログラム a special 3-day dengue prevention programme in 8 districts [Sri Lanka] が、The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) により開始された。
プログラムが行われたのは the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Ratnapura, Batticaloa, Trincomalee, Matale, and Matara districts の各地区である。

Ontario measles case count hits 572, up by more than 100 in past week

Mallorca school students struck down by salmonella poisoning on a study trip
[17 Mar 2025], 修学旅行 Andalusia for a study trip の中学生 a group of 64 students in the fourth year at the IES Manacor secondary school の最初の目的地は Granada でその後 Cordoba and Seville に向かうことになっていたが、同18日に一部の生徒が発熱、下痢、腹痛などの不調を訴えはじめた。現地の医師はウイルス性と診断していた。21日に Manacor に戻るまでに、20人以上が体調を崩した。
旅行から戻った後の検査でサルモネラ菌_Salmonella_ が確認され、1地番目のホテルが感染源とみられている。
偶然同宿していた2 groups of students from Murcia and a group of senior citizens on an Imserso holiday も体調を崩していた。

- 1 case has the Piracicaba region (São Pedro) as a possible place of infection
- 2 with probable locations of infection in the region of São José dos Campos (Caçapava)
- 2 cases are imported, both were hired in Minas Gerais
- In 2 cases, the site of infection is under investigation.

2019年に清浄化が宣言されたあとの2023年11月に Chiapas に輸入されたウシ foreign cattle により、the screwworm _Cochliomyia hominivorax_ が持ち込まれたことが明らかにされており、Mexican cattle, specifically in Campeche では初めての確認となった。Campeche ではさらに、2025年第4週にヒトの感染例も報告されている。
現在 the SSA が2025年に報告したのはこれが4例目 the fourth human case of myiasis in the country in 2025 で Mexico City の男性であり、男性としては1例目で、ほか3例は女性である。

新世界ラセンウジバエ The New World screwworm (NWS), _Cochliomyia hominivorax_ (Coquerel) は、幼虫期 during their larval stages はヒトを含むほ乳類の偏性寄生虫 an obligate parasite である。the subfamily Chrysomyinae of the family Calliphoridae of the order Diptera (true flies) に属する。
幼虫（ウジ）は宿主の皮膚と皮下組織を栄養とするため、wound or traumatic myiasis 蝿蛆症と呼ばれる病態となり、死亡する可能性もある。寄生する部位は多くの場合、陳旧性の創傷 previous wounding であるが、身体の開口部の粘膜に寄生することもある。
メスのハエは創傷部位を好み、創縁に平均340個のタマゴを産み付ける、12－24時間以内に孵化してウジとなるとすぐに、創内に頭部を入れて浸食し始める。
3 larval stages (instars、齢) involving 2 molts（脱皮） を経て、創部を離れ地上に落下し、地中でさなぎとなる。

In 2020, a cultivated _Hoya macgillivrayi_ plant [ornamental species] in Australia exhibited leaf ringspot and chlorotic mottling. Molecular analyses confirmed that the causal agent was _Citrus leprosis virus C2_. This is the first report of this virus in Australia, as well as its first report on _H. macgillivrayi_.
Other known hosts of the virus include crops such as _Citrus_ spp. and passionfruit (_Passiflora edulis_, as well as ornamental species (_Dieffenbachia_, _Hibiscus_). The mite _Brevipalpus yothersi_ is a known vector of the virus.
