先週アメーバ感染症が増加 an increase in amebiasis [amoebiasis] cases したことを受け，市当局 The San Carlos City government in Negros Occidental province が衛生上の緊急事態 a state of health emergency を宣言した ... 1月に90例，2月に100例の合計約 200例の amebiasis cases が報告されている。

Amoebiasis は寄生虫の赤痢アメーバ the parasite _Entamoeba histolytica_ を原因とする感染症で，熱帯の衛生状態の悪い地域の住民が感染することが多いが，誰にも感染の危険がある。便からのアメーバ嚢胞で汚染された食品や水により感染することが多い。米国 the United States' Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) によると，赤痢アメーバ _E. histolytica_ 感染者のうち，発症するものは約 10% to 20% にすぎない。症状として腹痛，血便，発熱がみられることがあり，まれに肝臓に波及し膿瘍を形成する。少数例で，肺や脳など他の部位に感染が及ぶことがあるが，きわめてまれである。

[Mod.LXL－ Amoebiasis due to _Entamoeba histolytica_ infection は世界中でもっともよくみられる寄生虫疾患の１つであるが，いまだに顧みられることがない。

2017-2020年の世界中の水系寄生虫感染症アウトブレイクに関する最近のレビューでは，クリプトスポリジウムとジアルジアによるものがほとんどで，赤痢アメーバ _E. histolytica_ によるアウトブレイクの報告は 1件のみであった。

フィリピンは，国民，特に農村部の人々に清潔な水を供給することが難しく，急速な都市化に伴って灌漑施設も必要となっている。マニラ近郊の農村部および都市部 urban and rural areas around Metro Manila の限定的な研究で，the free-living amoebae _Acanthamoeba_ spp and _Naegleria_ spp が淡水および飲料水の水源となり得る場所で容易に検出されたが，赤痢アメーバ _E. histolytica_ は検出されなかった。しかしながら，ごく少ない量の both _E. histolytica_ and _Entamoeba dispar_ が，マニラのスラム街の住民 residents of a Manila slum の便検査 stool ELISA and PCR で検出されている。（この検査法は）腸管内の非病原性片利共生生物 a non-pathogenic intestinal commensal である _Entamoeba dispar_ と，赤痢アメーバの鑑別に有用な方法である。

2022年10月以降，同州北部の多数の都市でコレラ Cholera cases が増加しており，この中に San Carlos City も位置する。コレラ感染の増加は，安全な水の供給不足を反映している可能性がある。アメーバ感染症アウトブレイクはまれではあるが，San Carlos City で現在起きているアウトブレイクは，汚染された水源からのアメーバ感染症アウトブレイクの特徴に一致している。多数の入院患者がいることは，重症赤痢アメーバと脱水が相当数発生したことを示唆する。2件目の報告では，市のメインの上水道 the city's main water line system の検査でアメーバが検出され，詳細については検査中とされている］

Amt Neuhaus (Lüneburg district) の複数の住民の Q fever 感染が確認された。動物からヒトに感染し，インフルエンザのような症状を発症する; ほか，何の症状もない人もいる。気候変動により，南方から北上 coming up している。細菌の_Coxiella burnetii_ が原因で，小さな飛沫 small droplets や埃を吸い込むことで感染する ... 動物は感染しても症状が見られないことがあるため，定期的な検査を行わなければ気づかれないことがある。ドイツでは，特に1995年以降，感染の報告が増加している。

公式には周知されていないが，現地当局による，市民と医療従事者に情報を開示する集会が計画されていると聞いている。Query (Q) fever (or coxiellosis) は，the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) への報告が必要な人獣共通感染症 a zoonotic disease notifiable to で，ほとんどの国で発生がある。ヒトの感染は通常，動物の特に反芻動物の家畜からの空気感染で生じるが，他の家畜や野生動物（ペット，ウサギ，鳥類など）も関係する。病原体は偏性細胞内寄生性細菌 the obligate intracellular bacterium の _Coxiella burnetii_ で，発達サイクルの中で様々な形態 different morphological forms をとり，細胞外での生存や環境中の集積が可能な形態も含まれる。感染した家畜の流産が環境中への大量の菌排出と拡大につながる。_C. burnetii の最も重要な排出経路で，胎盤 1gあたり最大109個の菌が排出される (WOAH terrestrial manual)。

欧州において初めてヒトの Q熱感染が報告されたのは，1941年6月のギリシア滞在のドイツ兵で，つづいて第二次世界大戦直後のドイツと1956年のオランダで報告された。

ヒトの感染およびアウトブレイクはヒツジとヤギの感染により，ウシの感染はヒツジとヤギほどはっきりした特徴はない ...

2007年から2010年のオランダのイベントでは4026人のクラスター感染が確認された (20100930.3546)。このアウトブレイクは，400頭以上を飼育する1か所のヤギ酪農場と，はっきりとした関連性があった。同農場では _C. burnetii_ による流産が，ヒトの感染例が発生する数週間前から開始されていたことが確認されている ...
